On Quantum Tunneling of a Singular Potential

چکیده
Singularity of the potential function makes quantum tunneling problem mathematically underdetermined. To circumvent difficulties it introduced in physics, a singularity cutoff is often used, followed by reverse limit transition, or suitable self-adjoint extension Hamiltonian along entire coordinate axis made. However, both them somehow affect singular nature problem, and so I discuss here how will behave if original Schrodinger equation left untuched. do this, use property probability density current that singularities are mutually destroyed it. It found mildly has finite, but unusual transparency, particular, non-zero value at zero energy incident particle. The one dimensional Coulomb exhibits infinitely fast complete oscillation boundary suppresion to high-energy limit. In more region, becomes forbidden, theby repeating well-known result regularized counterparts.

The Effect of Structural Parameters on the Electronic States and Oscillator Strength of a Resonant Tunneling Quantum Well Infrared Photodetector
In this paper a resonant tunnelling quantum well infrared photodetector (RT-QWIP) is discussed. Each period of this photodetector structure comprises of a resonant tunnelling structure (AlAs/AlGaAs/AlAs) nearby a quantum well (AlGaAs/GaAs). In this photodetector, photocurrent is produced when an electron makes a transition from the ground state of the well to an excited state which is coupled t...

متن کاملA one dimensional model showing a quantum phase transition based on a singular potential
We study a one-dimensional singular potential plus three types of regular interactions: constant electric field, harmonic oscillator and infinite square well. We use the Lippman-Schwinger Green function technique in order to search for the bound state energies. In the electric field case the unique bound state coincides with that found in an earlier study as the field is switched off. For non-z...
متن کاملQuantum Tunneling and Caustics under Inverse Square Potential
We examine the quantization of a harmonic oscillator with inverse square potential V (x) = (mω/2)x + g/x on the line −∞ < x < ∞. We find that, for 0 < g < 3h̄/(8m), the system admits a U(2) family of inequivalent quantizations allowing for quantum tunneling through the infinite potential barrier at x = 0. These are a generalization of the conventional quantization applied to the Calogero model i...
متن کاملEffect of chaos on relativistic quantum tunneling
We solve the Dirac equation in two spatial dimensions in the setting of resonant tunneling, where the system consists of two symmetric cavities connected by a finite potential barrier. The shape of the cavities can be chosen to yield both regular and chaotic dynamics in the classical limit. We find that certain pointer states about classical periodic orbits can exist, which suppress quantum tun...
