چکیده
Clastic soil is ubiquitous in practice but still poses a challenge for testing and modelling. Conventional laboratory tests with small sizes are not suitable the large grain size, while large-scale field often too costly time-consuming. In this paper, mechanical behaviour of clastic described by hypoplastic constitutive model based on numerical simulations considering both matrix breccia. The indicate that breccia content, gradation overconsolidation ratio have significant influence strength, deformation failure pattern soil. coarse particles found to change stress path developed consequently critical state matrix. Moreover, particle distribution computed tomography scanning seems larger impact than content soils.

Unsaturated soils: From constitutive modelling to numerical algorithms
This paper presents an overview of constitutive modelling of unsaturated soils and the numerical algorithms for solving the associated boundary value problems. It first discusses alternative stress and strain variables that can be used in constitutive models for unsaturated soils. The paper then discusses the key issues in unsaturated soil modelling and how these issues can be incorporated into...
متن کاملThe mechanical behaviour of brain tissue: large strain respones and constitutive modelling
The non-linear mechanical behaviour of porcine brain tissue in different deformation modes is determined. An improved method for rotational shear experiments is used, producing an approximately homogeneous strain field and leading to an enhanced accuracy. Results from oscillatory experiments, stress relaxation experiments and constant strain rate experiments are presented. Large deformations at...
متن کاملThe mechanical behaviour of brain tissue: large strain response and constitutive modelling.
The non-linear mechanical behaviour of porcine brain tissue in large shear deformations is determined. An improved method for rotational shear experiments is used, producing an approximately homogeneous strain field and leading to an enhanced accuracy. Results from oscillatory shear experiments with a strain amplitude of 0.01 and frequencies ranging from 0.04 to 16 Hz are given. The immediate l...
متن کاملEffects of multiple vein microjoints on the mechanical behaviour of dragonfly wings: numerical modelling
Dragonfly wings are known as biological composites with high morphological complexity. They mainly consist of a network of rigid veins and flexible membranes, and enable insects to perform various flight manoeuvres. Although several studies have been done on the aerodynamic performance of Odonata wings and the mechanisms involved in their deformations, little is known about the influence of vei...
متن کاملModelling of Stress-Strain Behaviour of Clayey Soils Using Artificial Neural Network
In this research, behaviour of clayey soils under triaxial loading is studied using Neural Network. The models have been prepared to predict the stress-strain behaviour of remolded clays under undrained condition. The advantage of the model developed is that simple parameters such as physical characteristics of soils like water content, fine content, Atterberg limits and so on, are used to mode...
