چکیده
We show how to characterize integral models of Shimura varieties over places the reflex field where level subgroup is parahoric by formulating a definition “canonical” model. then prove that in Hodge type cases and under tameness hypothesis, constructed author Kisin previous work are canonical and, particular, independent choices. A main tool theory displays with structure we develop this paper.

متن کاملOn the Characterization of Complex Shimura Varieties
In this paper we recall the construction and basic properties of complex Shimura varieties and show that these properties actually characterize them. This characterization immediately implies the explicit form of Kazhdan’s theorem on the conjugation of Shimura varieties. As a further corollary, we show that each Shimura variety corresponding to an adjoint group has a canonical model over its re...
متن کاملLocal Models of Shimura Varieties and a Conjecture of Kottwitz
We give a group theoretic definition of “local models” as sought after in the theory of Shimura varieties. These are projective schemes over the integers of a p-adic local field that are expected to model the singularities of integral models of Shimura varieties with parahoric level structure. Our local models are certain mixed characteristic degenerations of Grassmannian varieties; they are ob...
