Strongly F*-inverse covers for tiling semigroups

We introduce the notion of path extensions of tiling semigroups and investigate their properties. We show that the path extension of a tiling semigroup yields a strongly F *-inverse cover of the tiling semigroup and that it is isomorphic to an HNN * extension of its semilattice of idempo-tents.

A KIND OF F-INVERSE SPLIT MODULES

Let M be a right module over a ring R. In this manuscript, we shall study on a special case of F-inverse split modules where F is a fully invariant submodule of M introduced in [12]. We say M is Z 2(M)-inverse split provided f^(-1)(Z2(M)) is a direct summand of M for each endomorphism f of M. We prove that M is Z2(M)-inverse split if and only if M is a direct...

Partially Commutative Inverse Monoids

Free partially commutative inverse monoids are investigated. Analogously to free partially commutative monoids (trace monoids), free partially commutative inverse monoids are the quotients of free inverse monoids modulo a partially defined commutation relation on the generators. A quasi linear time algorithm for the word problem is presented, more precisely, we give an O(n log(n)) algorithm for...

Presentations of Factorizable Inverse Monoids

We present a method for constructing factorizable inverse monoids (FIMs) from a group and a semilattice, and show that every FIM arises in this way. We then use this structure to describe a presentation of an arbitrary FIM in terms of presentations of its group of units and semilattice of idempotents, together with some other data. We apply this theory to quickly deduce a well known presentatio...

Equations in Free Inverse Monoids

It is known that the problem of determining consistency of a finite system of equations in a free group or a free monoid is decidable, but the corresponding problem for systems of equations in a free inverse monoid of rank at least two is undecidable. Any solution to a system of equations in a free inverse monoid induces a solution to the corresponding system of equations in the associated free...
