Olive Waste Valorization Through TGA-MS Gasification: A Diatomaceous Earth Effect
نویسندگان
چکیده
The effect of diatomaceous earth on gasification olive pomace and stone was studied by thermogravimetric analysis with mass spectrometry (TGA-MS). Additionally, gas emissions, the H2/CO ratio, reactivity were evaluated. First, a preliminary study particle size waste performed to select most appropriate from technical industrial point view. With pomace, larger size, lower reactivity. However, stone, optimum results observed largest particles. Subsequently, mixed different percentages (10, 25, 50 wt %) earth. When contained earth, even though there no substantial improvement in reactivity, syngas quality terms significantly enhanced increased up four times. more remarkable, enhancing both ratio. Different behaviors biomasses due impacts alkali alkaline metals Whereas these made positive contributions only latter had significant influence pomace.

Diatomaceous Earth for Pest Control
Least toxic physical and chemical solutions are often part of an IPM program. Various forms of amorphous silica are commonly used as part of this strategy. Diatomaceous earth and silica gel are used in various physical formulations with or without added pesticide. The type of silica and the formulation depend on the target pest. In this issue advantages and disadvantages of diatomaceous earth a...
متن کاملValorization of Solid Waste Residues from Olive Oil Mills: A Review
The solid waste residues from olive oil mills constitute an environmental threat if disposed of in the natural environment, as it is common practice in many areas. This review summarizes the efforts of the scientific and technical community to develop appropriate technologies for the valorization of these wastes. The majority of the research towards this purpose focuses on the recovery of high-...
متن کاملGasification of Waste Tires
Gasification is a thermochemical pathways used to convert carbonaceous feedstock into syngas (CO and H2) in deprived oxygen environment. The process can accommodate conventional feedstock such as coal as well as discarded waste including plastics, rubber, and even MSW due to the high reactor temperature of 1000 to 1600oC. Pyrolysis is another conversion pathway yet it is more selective to the c...
متن کاملEconomic and Environmental Evaluation of Waste to Energy through Gasification; Case study: Tehran
In spite of the past few decades, gasification of waste is being used in the developed countries. Reducing the space for landfill sites, producing fuel from waste, as well as avoiding negative impacts of landfilling, are of advantages of gasification. The research was aimed at feasibility study of application of Tehran municipal solid waste (MSW) gasification in addition to understanding the wa...
