The effective utilisation of lignocellulosic biomass as fossil-based counterparts in the development bio-based chemicals manufacturing is progressively relevant. Hence, many works are underway to shift from petrochemical industries a sustainable biorefinery lactic acid production. Malaysia leading country palm oil producer, with an enormous supply inexpensive, renewable and non-food, yet untapped resources. In this regard, fronds (OPF) rich glucan content account for 60% total agricultural Malaysia, which can accommodate 2 million metric tons per annum fermentable sugar. richness carbohydrates OPF serves key unlocking commercialization future breakthroughs. This paper aims provide insights into exploitation novel feedstocks bio-refinery processes.
