چکیده
A bstract The non-Gaussian fluctuations of baryon density are sensitive to the presence conjectured QCD critical point. Their observational consequences crucial for ongoing experimental search this point through beam energy scan program at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). In expanding fireball created in a heavy-ion collision, would inescapably fall out equilibrium and require systematic description within dynamical framework. paper, we employ newly developed effective field theory (EFT) fluctuating hydrodynamics study real-time conserved charge density. particular, derive evolution equations multi-point correlators obtain closed-form solutions with arbitrary initial conditions that can readily be implemented realistic simulations collisions. We find non-linear interactions among noise fields, which missing traditional stochastic hydrodynamics, could potentially contribute quartic (fourth-order) scaling regime even tree level off-equilibrium situations.

Non-Gaussian fluctuations near the QCD critical point.
We study the effect of the QCD critical point on non-Gaussian moments (cumulants) of fluctuations of experimental observables in heavy-ion collisions. We find that these moments are very sensitive to the proximity of the critical point, as measured by the magnitude of the correlation length xi. For example, the cubic central moment of multiplicity (deltaN)3 approximately xi4.5 and the quartic c...
متن کاملSlowing Out of Equilibrium Near the QCD Critical Point
The QCD phase diagram may feature a critical end point at a temperature T and baryon chemical potential μ which is accessible in heavy ion collisions. The universal long wavelength fluctuations which develop near this Ising critical point result in experimental signatures which can be used to find the critical point. The magnitude of the observed effects depends on how large the correlation len...
متن کاملHydrodynamic Evolution Near QCD Critical Point
Hydrodynamics is usually adequate to describe the collective flow phenomena in macroscopic systems where thermodynamical relations are valid locally. Surprisingly enough, sometimes the hydrodynamical description is also useful as a model to describe the collective phenomena in microscopic and semi-microscopic systems. In fact, the collective flow behavior of hot, dense matter produced in relati...

where vμ = (1, ~v). The field ψv describes particles and holes with momenta p = μ(0, ~v)+k, where k ≪ μ. We will write k = k0 + k‖ + k⊥ with ~k‖ = ~v(~k · ~v) and ~k⊥ = ~k − ~k‖. L4f denotes four-fermion operators in the BCS and zero sound channel. At energies below the screening scale gμ hard dense loops have to be resummed. The generating functional for hard dense loops in gluon n-point funct...
متن کاملMode Softening near the Critical Point within Effective Approaches to Qcd
We study the soft mode along the critical line in the phase diagram with the tricritical point, using the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model. At the critical point with finite quark mass, the ordering density becomes a linear combination of the scalar, quark number and energy densities, and their susceptibilities diverge with the same exponent. Based on the conservation law, it is argued that the diverge...
