OCCURRENCE OF PLANT PARASITIC NEMATODES FROM DIFFERENT FRUIT GROWING AREAS OF BAJAUR, KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA, PAKISTAN

Agriculture is the most important sector of Pakistan. Effective improvement in agricultural productivity depends on appropriate crop protection from pests and diseases. Among these, nematode problem significant importance. Plant-parasitic nematodes are one limiting factors production. The economic importance well recognized all over world as crops damaged by their continuous feeding roots, buds, stems, crowns, leaves, even seeds, resulting low yield poor quality fruits. present study was conducted 12 localities district Bajaur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, A total 200 samples soil roots different vegetables, grown adjoining areas were collected 22 species identified belonging to 5 orders, 11 families, genera, which 18% whereas 81% plant-parasitic nematodes.
