Occurrence and risk assessment of perfluoroalkyl substances in the river basin around fluorine industry parks, China

Fluorine industry parks (FIPs) play a fundamental role in the advancement of China’s fluorine industry. In this study, Target analysis was combined with traceability to determine type PFASs present surface water and sediment around FIPs China. Meanwhile, risk they posed surrounding river examined through characterisation ratio. Among areas surveyed, 10 15 were detected sediment, concentrations up 32,674.0 ng/L 17.84 ng/g, respectively. There larger proportion short-chain (C4-C7), perfluoropentanoic acid particularly prevalent. Source indicates that may have originated from precursor degradation atmospheric deposition. The rubber main source for PFASs, compounds. A ratio identified perfluorododecanoic acid, perfluorobutane sulfonate, perfluoroheptanoic perfluorohexanoic as compounds relatively high risks.
