چکیده
Abstract Aim To assess the outcomes of abdominal wall reconstruction for subcostal incisional hernias through a new approach. We present our results posterior component separation previous incision as safe and reproducible technique complex cases. Material & Methods A multicenter prospective cohort patients diagnosed with bilateral on either clinical examination or imaging based computed tomography from 2014 to 2020 was gathered. The reported were short long-term complications, including recurrence, pain, bulging. Quality life assessed European Registry Abdominal Wall Hernias Life score. Results total 46 identified. All underwent separation. Surgical site occurrences occurred in 10 (22%), only 7 (15%) requiring procedural intervention. During mean follow-up 18 months (range, 6–62 months), 1 (2%) case recurrence registered. Also, there 8 (17%) asymptomatic but visible score showed statistically significant decrease 3 variables (pain, restriction, cosmetic) postoperative scores compared preoperative Conclusion Posterior repair same is procedure that avoids injury linea alba. It associated acceptable morbidity, low rate, improvement patient's outcomes.

BACKGROUND To evaluate the analgesic efficacy on defined areas of the abdomen and back after ultrasound-guided subcostal transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block using 0.25% levobupivacaine 0.5 mL/kg. METHODS Twenty patients undergoing elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy, between 20 and 60 years of age with operative time <1 hour, received subcostal TAP block using 0.25% levobupivacaine 0.5 ...

متن کاملEffective dermatomal blockade after subcostal transversus abdominis plane block.
INTRODUCTION The ultrasound-guided transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block is used to treat postoperative pain after abdominal surgery. Abdominal wall sensory nerves are anaesthetised by injecting local anaesthetics into the neurofascial plane between the internal oblique and the transversus abdominis muscles. Sensory assessment of a TAP block may guide the decision on the extent of the block. ...
متن کاملTransversus abdominis muscle release: a novel approach to posterior component separation during complex abdominal wall reconstruction.
BACKGROUND Several modifications of the classic retromuscular Stoppa technique to facilitate dissection beyond the lateral border of the rectus sheath recently were reported. We describe a novel technique of transversus abdominis muscle release (TAR) for posterior component separation during major abdominal wall reconstructions. METHODS Retrospective review of consecutive patients undergoing ...
