Obtaining transparent silica glass from nano-silica hydrosol

چکیده

Transparent silica glass is widely used in various fields. However, a simple and economical method of synthesis remains to be developed for high-precision device manufacturing. In this study, transparent fabricated from low-cost commercial nano-silica hydrosol. To obtain glass, the crystallization temperature bulk materials must higher than their densification temperature. Based on XRD analysis, impurity ions such as Na+ have strong influence characteristics sintered samples. Purification can performed by soaking preheated samples boiling water given duration. was obtained purified acidic hydrosol at 900–950 °C. The optical were investigated presence transparency enhanced vacuum. mechanical dielectric properties also characterized.
