چکیده

Abstract Introduction β-catenin is a protein molecule of the E-cadherin/catenin adhesion complex that maintains epithelial cell-cell and intracellular signalling. The mutation overexpression leads to cancer, including pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). FLYWCH1 newly identified with zinc-finger type DNA-binding domain interacts nuclear β-catenin, leading increased cell-matrix in cancer stem cells. This study aimed explore roles crosstalk between Wnt/β-catenin signalling for first time Methods We performed Western Blot analysis extraction FLYWCH1/β-catenin, E-cadherin GSK3-b AsPc-1, PANC-1, MIA PaCa-2 cell lines. Recommended concentrations antibodies were used detection proteins interest. Tubulin was as loading control. Fluorescent used, density detected measured. Results Our results demonstrate evidence differential expression PANC-1 had less FLYWCH1, but moderate AsPC-1. E-cadherin, β catenin, also expressed. These data suggest levels correlated unphosphorylated suppress transcriptional product via controlling aberrant pathway while promoted attachment. Conclusion Wnt1/β-catenin activity negatively Thus, could have tumour suppressive activities. Future studies are required elucidate their therapeutic biomarkers efficacy. Take-home message control B-catenin which suppression. would be target treatment future.

Does β-Catenin Cross-Regulate NFκB Signalling in Pancreatic Cancer and Chronic Pancreatitis?

BACKGROUND It is not clear by which mechanism nuclear factor-kappaB (NFκB) induces cell proliferation and escapes from the apoptotic pathway in pancreatic carcinogenesis. This study aimed to investigate β-catenin and NFκB signalling in chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer. MATERIALS AND METHODS On tissue samples of chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer, we performed immunohistochem...

Aberrant expression of CXCR4 and β-catenin in pancreatic cancer.

AIM The stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1)/C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4) axis and Wingless and INT-1 (Wnt)/β-catenin pathway has been related to cancer progression. The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of CXCR4 and β-catenin in pancreatic cancer. PATIENTS AND METHODS A total of 48 pancreatic cancer samples and 8 normal pancreatic tissues were selected to detect...

Oncogenic Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathways in the cancer-resistant epididymis have implications for cancer research.

Aberrant activation of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway occurs in cancers. This review presents several important cancer-related aspects of Wnt/β-catenin signalling relevant to the epididymis, provides evidence of such epididymal gene expression and suggests a new direction for further research. The data presented here indicate that besides containing many Wnt/β-catenin-pathway components, the normal ...

Mathematical modelling of Wnt/β-catenin signalling.

The Wnt/β-catenin pathway plays an important role in development and disease. Theoretical approaches have been used to describe this pathway and have provided intriguing insights into its signalling characteristics. In the present paper, we review mathematical models of the pathway. We focus on a quantitative kinetic model for canonical Wnt/β-catenin signalling describing the reactions of the p...
