چکیده
Abstract Background Malnutrition is a component of Frailty Syndrome characterized by weakness, poor nutritional status and reduced cognitive function. has been recognized to adversely affect post Cardiovascular Surgery outcomes in the elderly. In developing countries, can occur younger patients from Rheumatic Heart Disease earlier onset Atherosclerotic Disease. There limited data on frailty young. Methods were assessed preoperatively 111 adult undergoing October 2020 February 2021. Nutrition Risk Screening Tool (NRS) Clinical Scale (CFS) used for assessment respectively. Their in-hospital postoperative was then observed. Results 57 (51%) diagnosed with malnutrition, 26 (23%) which also Frail. Advanced age, Disease, Failure Chronic Kidney significantly higher malnutrition frail group. After multivariate analysis, mortality rate (odds ratio [OR] 7.8; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.45 - 41.91; P=.017), prolonged hospitalization (OR: 5.96; CI: 2.14–16.53; P=.001), mechanical ventilation 7.56; 1.81–31.62; P=.006) nosocomial infections 13.57; 4.41–41.76; P≤.001) found frailty. Conclusion Evaluation nutrition using NRS CFS helpful predicting outcomes. With significant number this population having Frailty, there need strengthen clinical pathways perioperative rehabilitation possibility improving Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: None.

Frailty effects and euro score system evaluation in postoperative outcomes of cardiac surgery patients
Background: Several scoring systems are available to evaluate the cardiac surgery risk. Frailty increases the risk of adverse outcomes after surgery. The Frailty evaluation system is a relatively new method, and in this study, we compared the frailty scoring method with the conventional Euroscore method. Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on 88 elderly patients (over 65 years of...
