A field experiment was conducted at Research Farm of Birsa Agricultural University, Kanke, Ranchi, Jharkhand during 2020-21 and 2021-22. The experimental soil textural class sandy loam with pH 5.56, EC 0.03 dS/m OC (5.91 g/kg). low in available nitrogen (218.63 kg/ha), medium phosphorus (15.75 kg/ha) potassium (178.32 kg/ha). laid out a split plot design three replication. consisted four main treatments viz., conventional tillage–conventional tillage (CT–CT), tillage–zero (CT–ZT), zero (ZT–CT) (ZT-ZT) subplot has different sources organic nutrient management 100% N through FYM, vermicompost, 50% FYM + vermicompost 75% 25% vermicompost. results revealed the significantly highest value total uptake (36.02 P (11.03 K (51.66 protein content (7.93 %), Ca (321.34 mg/100 g) Fe (4.29 were observed tillage-conventional tillage. Among sources, gave maximum (37.05 (11.24 (52.25 (8.07 %). (339.15 (4.50 FYM.

Uganda is dominated by agriculture with over 80 percent of the 24.6 million people involved in subsistence farming. The most important cereals are maize, finger millet and sorghum in that order. Finger millet is the second most important cereal in Uganda after maize and exceeding sorghum both in area and production. It is the staple food for over 50% of the country’s 24.6 million people and inc...
متن کاملNutrient and Antinutrient Changes in Finger Millet (Eleusine coracan) During Sprouting
Changes in some nutrient and antinutrient content, viscosity and in vitro protein digestibility were followed during a 96 h sprouting of xnger millet (Eleusine coracan [ ̧.] Gaertner) at 12 h intervals. The millet was sprouted at 30 3C in well-ventilated petri dishes kept in the dark. There were signixcant decreases in antinutritional factors, with tannins and phytates decreasing to undetectable...

In order to investigate the effect of pre-emergence and post-emergence herbicides on nutrient depletion, weed population and nutrient uptake by wheat in sesame-wheat cropping system in Khuzestan a field experiment was conducted in randomized complete block design with three replications in the research farm of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz in 2019-2020. Treatments included no weeding, hand...
متن کاملA Review of Nutrient Management Studies Involving Finger Millet in the Semi-Arid Tropics of Asia and Africa
Finger millet (Eleusine coracana (L.) Gaertn) is a staple food crop grown by subsistence farmers in the semi-arid tropics of South Asia and Africa. It remains highly valued by traditional farmers as it is nutritious, drought tolerant, short duration, and requires low inputs. Its continued propagation may help vulnerable farmers mitigate climate change. Unfortunately, the land area cultivated wi...
