Numerical Study on Interaction between Submarine Landslides and a Monopile Using CFD Techniques

Offshore installations with pile foundations in shallow water are vulnerable to submarine landslides, which cause serious damage engineering facilities, loss of life, and money. Due a shortage real observation data the difficulty reproduction, we lack insight into interaction behavior between landslides monopiles. This study capitalized on ANSYS Fluent 20.0 develop three-dimensional biphasic (water slurry) numerical model. CFD model was used analyze monopile at different flow heights. The velocities were from low high values. Two modes interactional forces acting proposed, (i) force peak value (ii) without value. influence height velocity investigated. Results show that effect heights is significant stage, while representing hazard level non-negligible under conditions, should be considered future study. related mechanisms revealed hybrid considering components force.
