Numerical simulation on wind-sand flow field around railway embankment with different wind angles

The intersection angles of the railway trend and wind direction are different in practical engineering, resulting sand hazard intensities. This research explores characteristics wind-sand flow field, speed change, accumulation near embankments with to reveal formation mechanism hazards. A numerical simulation field around under 15°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°, 90° friction speeds is conducted on basis Euler two-phase model; moreover, variation law distribution discussed. Results indicate that when moves embankment, it obstructed forms velocity zones. deceleration zone both sides embankment acceleration above increase remarkably angle. When constant, greater angle, surface which more evident leeward side embankment. amount increases Under a angle almost no accumulated slope. With velocity, windward other decreased except for 90°, 15°. These results provide theoretical route survey design railways blown areas optimization prevention control measures.
