چکیده

Geotechnical problems are complicated to the extent and cannot be expected in other areas since non-uniformities of existing discontinuous, pores materials various properties components. At present, it is extremely difficult develop a program for tunnel analysis that considers all factors. However, has made remarkable growth past several years due development numerical method computer development, given situation was solve formula elasticity, viscoelasticity, plasticity dynamic feature ground when constituent laws, yielding conditions materials, geometrical shape boundary structure were simulated past. The stability rock mass around an underground large cavern key construction large-scale projects. In this paper, carried out based on those parameters by using 2D FEM RS2 program. calculated stress displacements surrounding support compared with allowable values. pattern deformation, state, distribution plastic analyzed. Finally, whole caverns evaluated Rock Science - software. axial forces far below design capacity bolts. strong strength high horizontal vertical ratio enhanced safe working throughout excavation period. Thus wide span system could excavated sedimentary during blasting method. new provides reliable way analyze also will help or optimize subsequent support. A Comparison of Underground Opening Support Design Methods in Jointed Rock Mass (TECHNICAL NOTE)

It is of great importance to consider long-term stability of rock mass around the openings of underground structure, during design, construction and operation of the said structures in rock. In this context, three methods namely, empirical, analytical and numerical have been applied to design and analyze the stability of underground infrastructure at the Siah Bisheh Pumping Storage Hydro-Electr...

Splitting failure in side walls of a large-scale underground cavern group: a numerical modelling and a field study

Vertical splitting cracks often appear in side walls of large-scale underground caverns during excavations owing to the brittle characteristics of surrounding rock mass, especially under the conditions of high in situ stress and great overburden depth. This phenomenon greatly affects the integral safety and stability of the underground caverns. In this paper, a transverse isotropic constitutive...

Numerical Simulation on Zonal Disintegration in Deep Surrounding Rock Mass

Zonal disintegration have been discovered in many underground tunnels with the increasing of embedded depth. The formation mechanism of such phenomenon is difficult to explain under the framework of traditional rock mechanics, and the fractured shape and forming conditions are unclear. The numerical simulation was carried out to research the generating condition and forming process of zonal dis...

Effects of statistical distribution of joint trace length on the stability of tunnel excavated in jointed rock mass

The rock masses in a construction site of underground cavern are generally not continuous, due to the presence of discontinuities, such as bedding, joints, faults, and fractures. The performance of an underground cavern is principally ruled by the mechanical behaviors of the discontinuities in the vicinity of the cavern. During underground excavation, many surrounding rock failures have close r...
