Numerical simulation of droplet aerosol transmission in an enclosed space

A three-dimensional model of an enclosed air-conditioned space was established. Numerical simulation conducted for the temperature distribution in with air conditioner turned on using computational fluid dynamics, and movement track aerosol droplets exhaled by a patient traced discrete phase based Eulerian–Lagrangian method. The analysis shows that, after is on, velocity outflowing from greatly influence field space. With change intake temperature, there little difference absorption conditioning; When 0.8 m/s-2m/s, amount absorbed increases increase condition. Equipping filter can prevent exiting again decrease quantity particles space, thus reducing risk airborne viruses infecting susceptible people. In some public places where central conditioning used, filters also avoid transmitting aerosols to other spaces through system.
