Since its inception in the early 1970s by Daniel Gurney, Gurney flaps have proven to be an effective means of enhancing aerodynamic performance airfoil. Current applications include wind turbine blades, race car spoilers, helicopter rotors, and certain high-lift devices. This study compares influence on flow characteristics effects design parameters flap, namely length position flap a NACA 23,112 A review studies conducted so far has shown that been carried out select few airfoils only mainly studied variation one characteristics, like length, position, or angle. paper crried find optimum balance between these parameters.
