چکیده

Smart window designs have emerged as a means of providing dynamic regulation solar energy and daylight, enhancing indoor comfort, achieving building conservation. We evaluated novel design that integrated thermotropic (TT) material Transparent Insulation Material (TIM) present the investigation in this paper. The Parallel Slat TIM (PS-TIM) structure contained within unit provides extra thermal resistance helps to redirect daylight. TT material, which is applied slats, automatic daylight adjustment. Firstly, PS-TIM system has been characterised thermally optically. Then, comprehensive approach including both simulation packages was used predict performance. effects geometry (i.e. slat spacing tilt angle) features transition temperature optical properties) on performance were investigated. results show use with carefully selected can simultaneously improve efficiency (up 22% saving when compared conventional double-glazed (DG) window) attain homogenous distribution an average Useful Daylight Illuminance, UDI 500–2000 lux, 52.2%. It also found geometric configurations significant influence horizontally placed slats performs better than tilted terms balance between availability. This research guidance development suggestions for integration buildings.

Transmittance and Reflectance Studies of Thermotropic Material for a Novel Building Integrated Concentrating Photovoltaic (BICPV) ‘Smart Window’ System

A novel Building Integrated Concentrating Photovoltaic (BICPV) Smart Window has been designed and developed as a next generation intelligent window system. In response to climatic conditions, the smart window varies solar light transmission into the building for provision of light and heat with the reflection of light to the photovoltaic (PV) for electricity generation. This unique function is ...

A New Real-Time Pricing Scheme Considering Smart Building Energy Management System

Real-time pricing schemes make the customers to feel the energy price volatility and improve their load profiles. However, these schemes have no significant effect on demand-side uncertainty reduction. In this paper, considering smart grid infrastructures and smart building Energy Management System (EMS), a new real-time pricing scheme is presented to reduce the uncertainty of demand-side. In t...

window design in ardabil traditional houses for conservation of energy

windows have a major role on absorbing solar energy, reducing heat loses, and adding their values in traditional houses in ardabil. the main aim of this research is to study windows as elements of beautification and production of clean and free energy. we discern that windows can be designed to respond to the regional climates. to explore that, we review four samples of the windows in the famou...
