Numerical analysis of a three-wave-mixing Josephson traveling-wave parametric amplifier with engineered dispersion loadings

چکیده
The recently proposed Josephson traveling-wave parametric amplifier (JTWPA) based on a ladder transmission line consisting of radio-frequency superconducting quantum interference devices and exploiting three-wave mixing has great potential in achieving both gain 20 dB flat bandwidth at least 4 GHz. To realize this concept practical amplifiers, we model the advanced JTWPA circuit with periodic modulation parameters (engineered dispersion loadings), which allow basic process, i.e., [Formula: see text], where text] are signal, pump, idler frequencies, respectively, efficiently suppress propagation unwanted higher tones, including etc. engineered loadings sufficiently wide dB-bandwidth from to GHz combined reasonably small ripple ([Formula: dB) gain-vs-frequency dependence.
