NSF (Nylon Synthetic Fiber) Effectiveness in Stabilizing Weak Subgrade Soil: An Experimental Investigation

Improvement in subgrade soil has always been an area of concern for highway and geotechnical engineers. Weak results a greater thickness the pavement layer, which increases cost construction. It further leads to large deformations, turn cause continuous deterioration paved surface. To solve this problem, various engineering solutions improvement mechanisms were previously proposed. This study was designed investigate stabilization weak with nylon synthetic fiber (NSF) compromising combination. Previously, some investigations used lower content higher length, whereas others length content. However, investigation uniquely stabilize consideration appropriate (10 mm 20 mm) (0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2.5%). The properties soil, effect NSF on aspect ratios, optimum critical ratio investigated laboratory. fibers compaction, CBR values, swell values also studied. There Finally, concluded use solution soils regard performance problems.
