Iron-catalysed, hydride-mediated reductive cross-coupling of vinyl halides and Grignard reagents.
An iron-catalysed, hydride-mediated reductive cross-coupling reaction has been developed for the preparation of alkanes. Using a bench-stable iron(II) pre-catalyst, reductive cross-coupling of vinyl iodides, bromides and chlorides with aryl- and alkyl Grignard reagents successfully gave the products of formal sp(3)-sp(3) cross-coupling reactions.
متن کاملDi-Grignard reagents and metallacycles
Aliphatic ,w-dibromides can be converted to the corresponding c,w-di—Grignard reagents; for those members carrying less than four carbon atoms between the functions, special procedures are required. The synthesis, structure and applications of the di-Grignard reagents are discussed; particular emphasis is placed on the structures of the corresponding cyclic dialkylmagnesiums, and on the use of ...

A new method to graft titania using Grignard reagents.
A new method to graft titania with organic groups has been developed. In contrast to common condensation based grafting methods, this method uses organometallic chemistry to bond organic groups directly at the surface. Thereby the introduction of hetero elements at the bonding interface is avoided.
متن کاملThermal epimerization of diastereomeric Grignard reagents.
Thermal epimerization is the key to changing the endo-to-exo ratio of the diastereomeric bornyl and fenchyl Grignard reagents from 67:33 to 96:4 and from 20:80 to 80:20, respectively.
