Novel Self-Excited Brush-Less Wound Field Vernier Machine Topology

چکیده

To realize the brush-less operation for wound field vernier machines (WFVMs), a novel self-excited topology is proposed in this paper which involves four-pole main armature winding and two-pole excitation connected series using an uncontrolled rectifier. Upon supplying current from single current-controlled voltage source inverter (VSI), procedure results magnetomotive force (MMF) components airgap. The MMF produces stator while component develops sub-harmonic rotor altered to house forty-four-pole harmonic windings. employed induce winding, rectified by means of full-bridge diode rectifier energize WFVM. Two-dimensional finite element analysis (2-D FEA) implemented JMAG-Designer confirm WFVM attain electromagnetic performance four-pole, twenty-four-slot outer-rotor machine.
