Novel method to manage weeds in the rainfed groundnut (var. VRI 8 and TMV 14) using nano encapsulated herbicide formulations

چکیده
The groundnut crop harbours heavy weed infestation due to its small stature and slow growing nature. current management practices of hand weeding use commercial herbicides are unsuitable because high labour cost inadequate moisture availability activate herbicides. In order release the herbicide in a smart way, this experiment aimed study efficacy encapsulated . Field experiments were conducted during Kharif 2021 late Rabi 2022 under rainfed conditions randomised block design with three replications. treatments consisted sulfentrazone, oxyfluorfen, diclosulam metolachlor both form using two doses, at 20 40 DAS, free plot weedy check. Minimum density (28.33 17.30 No./m2 90 DAS respectively) dry weight (65.33 61.25 g/m2 observed (T19) followed by @ 25 g ha-1 encapsulation (T7). Maximum was 1 kg/ha (T8). Higher productivity (1802 kg 1753 pod yield higher profitability obtained (T7) (1.80 2.01 B:C ratio (Kharif respectively). Nano-encapsulated can thus significantly improve control groundnut.

Chlorophyll Fluorescence: A Novel Method to Screen for Herbicide Resistance
The susceptibility to Terbacil of six randomly selected strawberry cultivars (‘Aromas’, ‘Chambly’, ‘Harmonie’, ‘Kent’, ‘La Clé des Champs’ and ‘Seascape’) was analysed using chlorophyll florescence (CF) in comparison with visual observation, in an attempt to develop a method for use in a breeding programme to select herbicide-resistant strawberry lines. Terbacil was applied at one of five rates...
متن کاملHerbicide Metabolism in Weeds — Selectivity and Herbicide Resistance
The metabolic detoxication/bioactivation pathways, the levels and activity of enzymes, and endogenous cofactors mediating these reactions in crops have been well document‐ ed; however, much less evidence has been accumulated in weed species. The herbicide metabolism as a selectivity factor is summarized with special attention to acetyl-CoA car‐ boxylases (ACCase)-inhibiting aryloxyphenoxypropio...
متن کاملHerbicide Resistant Weeds and Crops
Modern herbicidal weed control often exploits physiological differences among plants and takes advantage of herbicide tolerance or resistance in crop plants to bring about the selective removal of susceptible weeds. The Weed Science Society of America defines herbicide tolerance as “the inherent ability of a plant to survive and reproduce after herbicide treatment” which suggests that herbicide...
