چکیده
Abstract Several endemic species of Blaps occur in Tunisia, and the nefrauensis has been reported Moulares (urban zone west-central Tunisia), where it lives reproduces home gardens old buildings. The aim this work is to study life cycle darkling beetle, considering both field laboratory rearing conditions. As a result, beetle different developmental stages (egg, larva, prepupa, pupa, adult) that last about 15 months. Each year during same period, adults emerge (early summer) expire (late autumn), larvae hatch pupate summer). There only one generation per year. Females began laying eggs late July. were ovoid, white, 2.7 mm length 1.5 width. Embryogenesis took an average nine days. first instar at initially 4.5 long ivory white color. A brief description newly egg hatched larva was provided; thus, nerve fibers innervating apical setae antennae ligula detected. Further light microscopic examination embryo before hatching from pointed out antennal sensilla are protected embryogenesis stage.

15 صفحه اولA second locality for the Namib darkling beetle Onymacris brainei (Tenebrionidae, Coleoptera) and first report on its molecular phylogenetic placement
Onymacris brainei Penrith, 1984 - the most recent species of Onymacris to be described - is known only from its type locality in the Namib Desert, adjacent to the Cunene River in northern Namibia. No additional specimens are known to have been collected beyond the type series. Herein, we report on eight specimens discovered at a second site near the original locality. DNA from four beetles was ...

Notes on the genus Xenocerogria (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae, Lagriini) from China
Three species of the genus Xenocerogria Merkl, 2007 have been recorded in China, Xenocerogriafeai (Borchmann, 1911), Xenocerogriaignota (Borchmann, 1941) and Xenocerogriaruficollis (Borchmann, 1912). Xenoceraxanthisma Chen, 2002 is proposed as a junior synonym of Xenocerogriaruficollis. Lectotype of Xenocerogriaignota is designated, and the species is transferred to the genus Lagria Fabricius, ...
