The migrants from Niger Republic move into the neighboring Nigerian communities in numbers search for greener pastures. Previously, research region has shown migration to be male dominated (Liman, 2021). However, a new wave of women participation was noticed hence need literature update. study conducted at Daura Local Government Area, Katsina state Nigeria. area shares with manned border Kongolom and unmanned borders throughout expanse its several remote villages making influx both human animal resources uncontrolled. Women, just like men freely yearly. In order understand reasons behind decision by these cross borders, four (4) Focus Group Discussions were 35 using checklist as guide. Four Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) also held their hostesses. Qualitative data therefore collected reported descriptive narration. results FGD show all respondents female within age range 12-56years. Some married, some widowed, good number divorced rest spinsters. None them had formal education but basic Islamic knowledge. They engaged farming, post harvest activities, domestic chores such cleaning, cooking babysitting others street begging. Findings reveal that economic gains major reason coming For respondents, this is first time partaking migration, have joy returning yearly thereby circular migrants. These ladies practicing type are commonly referred ‘Yan Tabiradi. Information gathered 3 4 hostesses, who elderly women, widowed lived 2-3 room houses explained pay token fee stay (N150-N200 monthly/less than 50cents) accomodation. fourth hostess, relatively younger, entertained her relatives no cost.
