Normalization of Sudanese and Israeli Relations: From Hostility to Pragmatic Conciliation

This article investigates the elements of continuity and rupture in relations between Sudan Israel from time Sudan’s independence until end Omar al-Bashir's rule order to better understand recent normalization ties these two countries. Through process tracing, study examines, first, period before when established contacts with Israel, followed by Abboud regime that severed ties, later Nimeiry continued implicitly. The explains reasons for tensions relationship after Islamists came power 1989 as well defining features post-Bashir period.
