چکیده

Abstract Introduction The present study aims to identify normal high-resolution anorectal manometry (HRAM) values and related factors in healthy Vietnamese adults. Methods cross-sectional was conducted at the Viet Duc hospital, Hanoi, Vietnam, during April May 2019. Healthy volunteers were recruited participate study. Anorectal measurement from digestive tract, including pressure, recorded. Results A total of 76 recruited. mean functional anal canal length 4.2 ± 0.5 cm, while high-pressure zone 3.4 cm. defecation index 1.4 0.8, with ranging 0.3 5.0. threshold volume elicit rectoanal inhibitory reflex (RAIR) 18.1 mL. rectal sensation 32.4 mL, 81.6 159 mL for first sensation, desire defecate, urge respectively. Dyssynergic patterns occurred ∼ 50% participants included mainly types I (27.6%) III (14.6%). There significant differences between male female patients terms maximum squeeze cough strain pressure (all p < 0.01). Conclusions establishes HRAM adults, particularly regarding sensation. Further studies that include larger sample sizes should be further confirm constants their relationships.

Water-perfused esophageal high-resolution manometry: normal values and validation.

Water-perfused high-resolution manometry (HRM) catheters with 36 unidirectional pressure channels have recently been developed, but normal values are not yet available. Furthermore, the technique has not been validated and compared with solid-state HRM. We therefore aimed to develop normal values for water-perfused HRM and to assess the level of agreement between water-perfused HRM and solid-st...

Normal values for water-perfused esophageal high-resolution manometry.

BACKGROUND Normal values for water-perfused esophageal high-resolution manometry have still not been established in our environment, despite its generalized use and the recommendation to determine reference values for each Motility Unit based on their equipment. Normal values established with solid-state highresolution manometry are currently being used as reference values for water-perfused hi...

Comparison of High-resolution Anorectal Manometry With Water-perfused Anorectal Manometry

BACKGROUND/AIMS To date, high-resolution manometry has been used mainly in the study of esophageal motility disorders and has been shown to provide more physiological information than conventional manometry, and is easier to interpret. This study aimed to evaluate the usefulness of high-resolution anorectal manometry (HRARM) compared to water-perfused anorectal manometry. METHODS Patients who...

Normal Values of Median, Ulnar and Radial Nerves Conduction in Healthy Adults (20-59 years)

ABSTRACT The object of this study is determination of normative values of nerve conduction studies (NCS) among the population of Guilan Province. We selected 216 at the ages of 20-59yr on the basis of their medical histories and examination , and on condition that they had no factors or diseases interfering with nerve conduction by convenience sampling method. In this cross-sectional study, t...

Influence of gender and age on anorectal function: normal values from anorectal manometry in a large caucasian population.

INTRODUCTION In the literature, data on the effects of gender and age on the pressure data of anorectal manometry differ. Possible reasons are investigation of only small numbers of healthy people and comparison of only 2 groups with large age differences. In addition, data about the influence of gender or age on anorectal sensation are sparse. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to det...
