چکیده

Although notoriously difficult to delineate from the wider family of carbonate rocks and sediments, non-marine carbonates represent an important subset, forming in a large variety depositional settings such as lakes, rivers, hydrothermal vents, caves, soils sites affected by alkaline pollution (Pentecost, 2005; Alonso Zarza & Tanner 2010; Capezzuoli et al., 2014; Della Porta, 2015) (Figure 1). Due erosive dissolution effect meteoric waters terrestrial environments, are generally characterised low preservation potential their geological record is likely discontinuous highly altered. Nevertheless, significant component sedimentary basins, providing useful proxies palaeoenvironmental conditions can offer means passive remediation harmed human industry, including sequestration storage carbon dioxide. Understanding physico-chemical microbially mediated processes involved precipitation helps constrain biogeochemical cycles, investigate past plan for future approaches global changes.
