Nonlinear dynamics and chaos regularization of one-dimensional pulsating detonations with small sinusoidal density perturbations

In this work, we explore the effect of initial density variation in combustible mixture on nonlinear dynamics one-dimensional gaseous detonation propagation. Studies dynamical behavior pulsating are frequently based upon reactive Euler simulations with one-step Arrhenius chemistry. regions control parameters space, i.e., activation energy Ea, 1-D shown to exhibit chaotic at values 28.5 and 30.0. Using small sinusoidal perturbations, investigation shows emergence various temporal patterns as a function perturbation wavelength. It demonstrates that cooperative between intrinsic instability imposed can lead regularization oscillations detonation. Hence, by means perturbation, an otherwise motion is rendered more stable predictable. This result thus has implications for how intrinsically unstable be controlled.
