چکیده
ABSTRACT The leaf area is a parameter of fundamental importance in studies on plant growth and physiology. objective this study was to build allometric equations for the accurate fast estimation sapodilla areas. In total, 250 leaves different shapes sizes were collected from matrices trees growing at Universidade Federal Rural do Semi-Árido, Mossoró-RN, Brazil. For each leaf, length, width, product length width (LW), measured. Linear nonlinear models used construct equations. best chosen basis following criteria: highest coefficient determination, Pearson’s linear correlation coefficient, Willmott’s index agreement; lowest Akaike information criterion root mean square error. It verified that LW value presented criteria estimating area. Specifically, ŷ = 0.664 × LW1.018 0.713 LW, which use values, are most suitable quickly accurately.

One Method of Estimating Vegetation Leaf Area Index from ENVISAT-ASAR Data
One method of estimating vegetation Leaf Area Index (LAI) using ENVISAT-ASAR data was presented based on the ground experiment data in Heihe district, northwest China. Firstly, the vegetation species was analyzed and classified in this area and the category covered the cultural vegetation, shrub, grass, desert, needle forests, and broadleaf forests. With support of experiment data and other mat...

متن کاملLeaf area estimation by a simple and non-destructive method
In this study, the relation between leaf area and its dimensions was estimated using a non-destructive method. This method is based on this fact that the leaf shape does not change during the growing season. In this method, leaf area during the growing season is estimated based on the dimensions of the smallest leaf in the initial stage of plant growth or at any growth stage by measuring the le...
متن کاملA Leaf Lamina Compression Method for Estimating Turgor Pressure
A portable wiltmeter instrument to estimate leaf turgor pressure according to an adaptation of the flattening method was developed. In the instrument, a flexible inflating membrane presses the leaf against a flattening plate having small orifices surrounded by a finely engraved network of obtuse indentations through which air flow is delivered. During a measurement, as the compression builds up...
