Non-resonant new physics search at the LHC for the b ? c?? anomalies

A bstract Motivated by the $$ b\to c\tau \overline{v} b ? c? v ¯ anomalies, we study non-resonant searches for new physics at large hadron collider (LHC) considering final states with an energetic and hadronically decaying ? lepton, a b -jet missing transverse momentum \left( pp\to {\tau}_h\overline{b}+{E}_{\mathrm{T}}^{\mathrm{miss}}\right) pp ? h + E T miss . Such can be useful to probe contributions They are analyzed not only within dimension-six effective field theory (EFT) but also in explicit leptoquark (LQ) models LQ non-decoupled. The former is realized taking limit of mass latter. It clarified that LHC sensitivity sensitive ????(1) TeV even search {\tau}_h\overline{b}+{E}_{\mathrm{T}}^{\mathrm{miss}} Although provide weaker than EFT limit, it found improve ? 40% versus conventional mono- {\tau}_h+{E}_{\mathrm{T}}^{\mathrm{miss}}\right) whole region.
