چکیده
Abstract Human non-mercaptalbumin (HNA), oxidized form of serum albumin, has been reported as a useful marker in oxidative stress-related diseases; however, few reports have examined the association between HNA and severity coronary artery disease (CAD). The present study evaluated whether fraction is correlated with stenosis 140 patients considered to high risk CAD or who were suspected having acute syndrome. was defined by number stenotic vessels score system (the Gensini score). measurements performed using our newly established high-performance liquid chromatography methodology. results had shown that significantly increased three-vessel disease, compared those without single-vessel ( p = 0.025), positively (ρ 0.421, < 0.001). A multivariate analysis showed an independent significant factor associated 1.246, 0.012). logistic regression strong predictor multivessel (odds ratio, 1.12; 95% confidence interval, 1.020–1.229; 0.017). These findings indicate measurement could be clinically practical for predicting stenosis.

Obstructive sleep apnea and the severity of coronary artery disease
Background: It has been implicated that obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease including stroke, myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease (CAD) and hypertension. The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between OSA and severity of atherosclerosis assessed by angiography. Methods: This study included 337 patients ...
متن کاملThe relation of hypertension and aldosterone-renin ratio with the severity of coronary artery disease in non-diabetic patients
Background: The aim of this study was to assess the relationship between hypertension and aldosterone-renin ratio (ARR) with the severity of coronary artery disease (CAD). Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on non-diabetic patients who were candidate for coronary angiography in Shafa hospital in Kerman in 2017. The levels of active renin and ald...
متن کاملNeutrophil/Lymphocyte Ratio Is Associated with Non-Calcified Plaque Burden in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease
BACKGROUND Elevations in soluble markers of inflammation and changes in leukocyte subset distribution are frequently reported in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). Lately, the neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio has emerged as a potential marker of both CAD severity and cardiovascular prognosis. OBJECTIVES The aim of the study was to investigate whether neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio and other...
متن کاملHMGB1 Is Associated with Atherosclerotic Plaque Composition and Burden in Patients with Stable Coronary Artery Disease
OBJECTIVES The role of inflammation in atherosclerosis is widely appreciated. High mobility group box 1 (HMGB1), an injury-associated molecular pattern molecule acting as a mediator of inflammation, has recently been implicated in the development of atherosclerosis. In this study, we sought to investigate the association of plasma HMGB1 with coronary plaque composition in patients with suspecte...

Introduction: Previous cohort studies reported contradictory data on the association between subclinical thyroid dysfunction and coronary heart disease (CHD). Regarding this, the present study was conducted to illuminate this relationship. Materials and Methods: For the purpose of the study, 3,066 participants employed in a study conducted by Azizi et al. aged ≥ 20 years were subjected to thyro...
