Non-Lorentzian chaos and cosmological holography

چکیده

We study chaos in non-Lorentzian field theories, specifically Galilean and Carrollian conformal theories two dimensions. In a large central charge limit, we find that the Lyapunov exponent saturates bound on chaos, conjectured originally for relativistic theories. recover same holographically by shock-wave calculation three-dimensional flat space cosmologies, providing further evidence holography.

Holography and Cosmological Singularities

Certain null singularities in ten dimensional supergravity have natural holographic duals in terms of Matrix Theory and generalizations of the AdS/CFT correspondence. In many situations the holographic duals appear to be well defined in regions where the supergravity develops singularities. We describe some recent progress in this area. Based on talks given at CTP Symposium, Cairo, Egypt (March...

Chaos and Quantum Chaos in Cosmological Models

Spatially homogeneous cosmological models reduce to Hamiltonian systems in a low dimensional Minkowskian space moving on the total energy shellH = 0. Close to the initial singularity some models (those of Bianchi type VIII and IX) can be reduced further, in a certain approximation, to a non-compact triangular billiard on a 2-dimensional space of constant negative curvature with a separately con...

Origin of Lorentzian pulses in deterministic chaos.

Pulses having a temporal Lorentzian shape arise naturally from topological changes in flow trajectories or phase-space orbits associated with deterministic chaos. The pulses can appear as random intermittent events in the time series of observable quantities, and they are the cause of exponential frequency power spectra previously observed in magnetically confined plasmas and various nonlinear ...
