Non-Kochen–Specker Contextuality

چکیده
Quantum contextuality supports quantum computation and communication. One of its main vehicles is hypergraphs. The most elaborated are the Kochen-Specker ones, but there also another class contextual sets that not this kind. Their representation has been mostly operator-based limited to special constructs in three- six-dim spaces, a notable example which Yu-Oh set. Previously, we showed hypergraphs underlie all them, paper, give general methods - whose complexity does scale up with dimension for generating such non-Kochen-Specker any examples 16-dim spaces. Our automated generation probabilistic random, statistics accumulated data enable one filter out required size structure.

Non-Locality, Contextuality and Transition Sets
We discuss quantum non-locality and contextuality using the notion of transition sets [1, 2]. This approach provides a way to obtain a direct logical contradiction with locality/non-contextuality in the EPRB gedanken experiment as well as a clear graphical illustration of what violations of Bell inequalities quantify. In particular, we show graphically how these violations are related to measur...
متن کاملThe Cohomology of Non-Locality and Contextuality
In a previous paper with Adam Brandenburger, we used sheaf theory to analyze the structure of non-locality and contextuality. Moreover, on the basis of this formulation, we showed that the phenomena of non-locality and contextuality can be characterized precisely in terms of obstructions to the existence of global sections. Our aim in the present work is to build on these results, and to use th...
متن کاملEffect Algebras, Presheaves, Non-locality and Contextuality
Non-locality and contextuality are among the most counterintuitive aspects of quantum theory. They are difficult to study using classical logic and probability theory. In this paper we start with an effect algebraic approach to the study of non-locality and contextuality. We will see how different slices over the category of set valued functors on the natural numbers induce different settings i...
متن کاملNon-Contextuality, Finite Precision Measurement and the Kochen-Specker Theorem
Meyer originally raised the question of whether non-contextual hidden variable models can, despite the Kochen-Specker theorem, simulate the predictions of quantum mechanics to within any fixed finite experimental precision (Meyer, D. 1999. Phys. Rev. Lett., 83, 3751-3754). Meyer’s result was extended by Kent (Kent, A. 1999. Phys. Rev. Lett., 83, 37553757). Clifton and Kent later presented const...
متن کاملMacroscopic non-contextuality as a principle for Almost Quantum Correlations
Foundational aspects of Quantum Mechanics continues to be a subject of intense research, looking for physically grounded rather than purely mathematical and abstract axioms for quantum theory, in particular for its predictions in correlation experiments. Even though many information-theoretic principles have been proposed, none of them proved to single out the set of quantum correlations. In ad...
