چکیده

The study was carried out to determine the effect of season calving, stage lactation and parity on 207 cattle compromising Sahiwal (107) Karan Fries (100) different parities stages. In cows, Season had significant all milk composition traits viz., average test day yield (ATDMY), fat (ATDFY), solid not (ATDSNFY), protein percentage (ATDP%) lactose (ATDLY). In non-significant whereas, in ATDMY, ATDFY, ATDSNFY, ATDP%, ATDLY (ATDPY). cows (KF) ATDP% cows. whereas ATDPY. phenotypic correlation between udder teat type were low magnitude. It can be concluded that changing patterns with seasons provide scientific evidence improve nutrition management.

Non-Genetic Factors Affecting Grasscutter Production Traits. 1. Growth Traits

This study was conducted at the grasscutter section of the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana, to estimate effects of non-genetic factors on growth traits. Data consisted of records of 502 kids born from 136 does and 40 sires from 2006 to 2010. Feed intake increased (P<0.01) with increasing parity and years, whilst feed efficiency declined (P<0.01) with years. Animals consumed less (P<0.01...

Genetic polymorphism and association of kappa-casein gene with milk production traits among Frieswal (HF × Sahiwal) cross breed of Indian origin

The aim of the present study was to screen the genotype profile of bovine kappa-casein gene among Frieswal (HF × Sahiwal) crossbred cattle developed in India. A total number of two hundred Frieswal cows were evaluated for HinfI RFLP based genotyping of kappa-casein gene. We observed that only two genotypes (AA and AB) exist among the studied population with the genotype frequency of 0.58 (n=117...
