چکیده
The growing processing power of desktop and distributed cloud cluster computing is playing a larger role providing computational architectural acoustic solutions. This presentation will provide status update on the Non-cuboid Iterative Room Optimization software called NIRO. It offers an iterative approach to full bandwidth optimization critical listening rooms. program uses finite element method (FEM), image source model (ISM), non-dominating sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA) simultaneously optimize room geometry any shaped room, including boundary admittances, for number listeners loudspeakers. minimizes weighted sum modal response speaker interference response, spatial uniformity around mix position reflections in reflection free zone (RFZ). With optimal setup, acoustical diffusors absorbers with specified resonant frequency, bandwidth, efficiency are added properties. A combination FEM, ISM, additional geometrical acoustics used generate impulse responses. RFZ, envelopment, reverberation time, low-frequency temporal decay optimized evaluated. Following addition HRTFs, stereo auralization can be generated. Proof performance application examples presented.

Projected non-stationary simultaneous iterative methods
In this paper, we study Projected non-stationary Simultaneous It-erative Reconstruction Techniques (P-SIRT). Based on algorithmic op-erators, convergence result are adjusted with Opial’s Theorem. The advantages of P-SIRT are demonstrated on examples taken from to-mographic imaging.
متن کاملWeighted Rectangle and Cuboid Packing
Given a set of rectangular items, all of them associated with a profit, and a single bigger rectangular bin, we can ask to find a non-rotational, non-overlapping packing of a selection of these items into the bin to maximize the profit. A detailed description of the (2 + )-approximation algorithm of Jansen and Zhang [8] for the twodimensional case is given. Furthermore we derive a (16 + )-appro...
متن کاملCuboid-navicular Tarsal Coalition
The authors present the case of a nine-year-old female patient who presented with pain in her right foot associated with physical activities. After this case was diagnosed as cuboid-navicular tarsal coalition, the patient was treated surgically with resection of the coalition, thereby resolving the symptoms. The literature was reviewed and the importance of adequate physical examination and ima...
متن کاملIterative and Non-iterative Simulation Algorithms
The Gibbs sampler, Metropolis’ algorithm, and similar iterative simulation methods are related to rejection sampling and importance sampling, two methods which have been traditionally thought of as non-iterative. We explore connections between importance sampling, iterative simulation, and importance-weighted resampling (SIR), and present new algorithms that combine aspects of importance sampli...
