چکیده
Abstract This study investigates how cultural-historical activity theory (CHAT) and non-affirmative of education (NAT) position themselves regarding the questions normativity, ontology, epistemology. The reason for choosing these three issues as a point departure comparative is that they highlight interrelated dimensions educational research are related to practice. amalgamation theories presented in dialectical dialogue. Both context emphasise achievement autonomy emancipation through an individual’s self-activity. While NAT primarily perceived conceptualising cultural historical phenomenon, CHAT designed general systems-theoretical approach be used achieve change praxis, but not by directing praxis from outside interest.

Universal Grammar and Chaos/Complexity Theory: Where Do They Meet And Where Do They Cross?
Abstract The present study begins by sketching "Chaos/Complexity Theory" (C/CT) and its applica-tion to the nature of language and language acquisition. Then, the theory of "Universal Grammar" (UG) is explicated with an eye to C/CT. Firstly, it is revealed that CCT may or may not be allied with a theory of language acquisition that takes UG as the initial state of language acquisition for ...

متن کاملReal and Modeled Spike Trains: Where Do They Meet?
Spike train models are important for the development and calibration of data analysis methods and for the quantification of certain properties of the data. We study here the properties of a spike train model that can produce both oscillatory and non-oscillatory spike trains, faithfully reproducing the firing statistics of the original spiking data being modeled. Furthermore, using data recorded...

Given the increased use of traditional medicines, possibilities that would ensure its successful integration into a public health framework should be explored. This paper discusses some of the links between biodiversity and traditional medicine, and addresses their implications to public health. We explore the importance of biodiversity and ecosystem services to global and human health, the ris...
متن کاملQuantum Theory, namely the theory where Information and Physics meet
After more than a century since its birth, Quantum Theory still eludes our under1 standing. If asked to describe it, we have to resort to abstract and ad hoc principles about 2 complex Hilbert spaces. How is it possible that a fundamental physical theory cannot be de3 scribed using the ordinary language of Physics? Here we offer a contribution to the problem, 4 providing a short non-technical p...
