In the buildup of 2019 general election in Nigeria, there were tensions Southeastern part country over clamours for boycott campaign initiated by leader Indigenous People Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, requesting that a referendum should hold region purpose secession rather than conduct an area. This drew critical attention nationwide and diaspora as some rose to condemn call while supported move.
