چکیده
Aim of study: To validate and characterize new microsatellites or Simple Sequence Repeats (SSR) markers, located within genomic transcribed sequences related to growth plant developmental traits, in Eucalyptus species.Area species from different Australian origins planted Argentina.Materials methods: In total, 134 SSR 129 candidate genes (CG-SSR) involved development were selected physically mapped the E. grandis reference genome by bioinformatic tools. Experimental validation polymorphism analysis performed on 48 individuals interspecific hybrids (E. x camaldulensis; tereticornis), globulus, maidenii, dunnii benthamii.Main results: 131 out CG-SSR 11 chromosomes genome. Most analyzed (> 75%) positively amplified 39 polymorphic at least one species. A search annotated a 25 kbp up downstream region each location retrieved 773 interest.Research highlights: The validated characterized are potentially suitable for comparative QTL mapping, molecular marker-assisted breeding (MAB) population genetic studies across Symphyomyrtus subgenus. Keywords: CG-SSR; cross-transferability; EST; eucalypts; microsatellite.

Cross-species amplification of eucalyptus SSR markers in Casuarinaceae
Cross-species amplification of Simple Sequence Repeats (SSRs) loci is considered as a cost-effective approach for developing microsatellite markers for new species. We examined the transferability of eucalyptus SSR loci to the economically important members of the Casuarinaceae family. Ten primer pairs targeting (GA)n, (CTT)n, (TGA)n and (GAA)n motifs were screened in Allocasuarina littoralis, ...
متن کاملSpecies Discrimination, Population Structure and Linkage Disequilibrium in Eucalyptus camaldulensis and Eucalyptus tereticornis Using SSR Markers
Eucalyptus camaldulensis and E. tereticornis are closely related species commonly cultivated for pulp wood in many tropical countries including India. Understanding the genetic structure and linkage disequilibrium (LD) existing in these species is essential for the improvement of industrially important traits. Our goal was to evaluate the use of simple sequence repeat (SSR) loci for species dis...
متن کاملExploration and Exploitation of Novel SSR Markers for Candidate Transcription Factor Genes in Lilium Species
Lilies (Lilium sp.) are commercially important horticultural crops widely cultivated for their flowers and bulbs. Here, we conducted large-scale data mining of the lily transcriptome to develop transcription factor (TF)-associated microsatellite markers (TFSSRs). Among 216,768 unigenes extracted from our sequence data, 6966 unigenes harbored simple sequence repeats (SSRs). Seventy-one SSRs were...
متن کاملFunctional markers development and genetic diversity analysis in Eucalyptus globulus with emphasis in wood quality candidate genes
Background Eucalyptus globulus is the most planted hardwood species for pulpwood in temperate regions. Genomic researches in Eucalyptus have increased the information available in DNA sequences public databases and several structural and regulatory genes involved in the cellulose and lignin pathways are known. Functional genetic markers, while frequent in crop, are still scarce in forest specie...
متن کاملIdentification of candidate genes involved in gonocyte development.
Several germ cell tumors that occur in adult men likely originate from gonocytes that are impaired in their development. To select candidate genes that are involved in the normal development of the gonocytes, we constructed a complementary DNA (cDNA) library from rat gonocytes as well as from single, paired, and aligned A spermatogonia (A(s), A(pr), and A(all) spermatogonia, respectively), thei...
