New Tilt Fractional-Order Integral Derivative with Fractional Filter (TFOIDFF) Controller with Artificial Hummingbird Optimizer for LFC in Renewable Energy Power Grids

Recent advancements in renewable generation resources and their vast implementation power sectors have posed serious challenges regarding operation, protection, control. Maintaining operating frequency at its nominal value reducing tie-line deviations represent crucial factors for these due to continuous reduction of system inertia. In this paper, a new modified load controller (LFC) method is proposed based on fractional calculus combinations. The tilt fractional-order integral-derivative with fractional-filter (TFOIDFF) paper LFC applications. TFOIDFF combines the benefits tilt, FOPID, filter regulators. Furthermore, application introduced recently presented artificial hummingbird optimizer algorithm (AHA) simultaneous optimization parameters studied two-area grids. contribution electric vehicle (EVs) considered centralized control strategy using controller. performance has been compared existing filter, PID FOPID hybrid LFCs from literature. Moreover, AHA results are featured algorithms validated against energy fluctuations, stepping, generation/loading uncertainty, power-grid parameter uncertainty. widely-used optimizers literature, including PSO, ABC, BOA, AEO IAE, ISE, ITAE, ITSE objectives. For instance, minimized IAE after 34 iterations 0.03178 0.03896 0.04548 AEO, 0.04812 0.05483 ABC optimizer. Therefore, fast better minimization objective functions achieved method.
