The genus Hypomyces contains fungi that grow on mushrooms, including agarics, boletes, and Aphyllophorales. While 53 Hypomyces species have been reported worldwide, only one was in Korea. The results of this study are a new record and suggestion of a synonym for the Flora of Iran, specimens of which are preserved in the herbarium of Research Institute of Forest & Rangelands (TARI).
