New Open-cluster Candidates Found in the Galactic Disk Using Gaia DR2/EDR3 Data

Abstract We report 541 new open-cluster candidates in Gaia EDR3 through revisiting the cluster results from an earlier analysis of DR2, which revealed nearly 1000 solar neighborhood (mostly d <3 kpc) residing at Galactic latitudes ∣ b < 20°. A subsequent comparison with lists known clusters shows a large increase samples within 2 kpc Sun. assign membership probabilities to stars open-source pyUPMASK algorithm, and also estimate physical parameters isochrone fitting for each candidate. Most show small total-proper-motion dispersions clear features color–magnitude diagrams. Besides, metallicity gradient is consistent those found literature.
