Neurosurgery as a Career Choice among Recent Medical Graduates from the Institute of Medicine, Nepal: A Cross-sectional Study

Introduction: The career choice of a medical graduate is often complex process with multiple factors playing part. Neurosurgery in Nepal gradually growing and there huge interest the academia to draw more graduates into neurosurgery. There paucity data regarding from Nepal. aim this study was determine potential barriers facilitators for choosing future as neurosurgeon. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional carried out on all recent last two weeks their internship 2021 three colleges Kathmandu. Variables included demographic characteristics, preferred specialty, willingness choose neurosurgery reasons it, not if done so. Frequency percentages were used describe categorical variables.
