Neuro-Cardiac-Guided TMS (NCG TMS): A replication and extension study

چکیده

Neuro-Cardiac-Guided Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (NCG-TMS) was studied for its potential to specifically target the frontal-vagal network. Previous research demonstrated that prefrontal stimulation led significant heartrate slowing. We aimed replicate these results in a larger sample and extend findings investigate dose-response relationships, reproducibility frequency (10 Hz intermittent theta burst (iTBS)). Data of forty-five healthy controls were analyzed, which 28 received 10 TMS 27 iTBS (NCG-iTBS; both protocols) at different sites according 10?20-EEG system. NCG-TMS yielded relative deceleration F3/4 coil position replicating earlier studies. Both internal consistency relationships found. For NCG-iTBS adverse events reported topography activation more lateralised NCG-TMS. These indicate we able transsynaptically stimulate network excitability thresholds cortex may differ motor cortex.

Understanding communicative actions: a repetitive TMS study.

Despite the ambiguity inherent in human communication, people are remarkably efficient in establishing mutual understanding. Studying how people communicate in novel settings provides a window into the mechanisms supporting the human competence to rapidly generate and understand novel shared symbols, a fundamental property of human communication. Previous work indicates that the right posterior...

PRIORITY COMMUNICATION A Combined TMS/fMRI Study of Intensity-Dependent TMS Over Motor Cortex

Background: Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) allows noninvasive stimulation of neurons using timevarying magnetic fields. Researchers have begun combining TMS with functional imaging to simultaneously stimulate and image brain activity. Recently, the feasibility of interleaving TMS with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) was demonstrated. This study tests this new method to det...

RAMs and TMs

A word-RAM consists of: • A fixed set of instructions P1, . . . , Pq. Allowed instructions are: – Modular arithmetic and integer division on registers; the standard model for a RAM machine does not have negative numbers, but you can verify that allowing signed integers doesn’t chance the power of the model. – Bitwise operations on registers. – Loading a constant into a register. – Transfering v...
