چکیده
Introduction Most youths who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) lose their diagnosis in the first 1–2 years. However, there are few studies on this brain mechanism, and heterogeneity of findings is partially due to different stimuli applied mixed trauma history. Therefore, use trauma-related/unrelated study remittance mechanism earthquake-induced PTSD could advance our knowledge inspire future treatment. Methods Thirteen with PTSD, 18 remitted participants, control participants underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), while viewing trauma-related pictures, trauma-unrelated negative scrambled pictures. Results Under condition, neural activity left hippocampus group was between two other groups. exhibited higher right middle occipital gyrus than controls. The showed parahippocampal lingual under condition no significant difference found group. Conclusion status-related differences mainly reflected hyperactivity be an endophenotype for PTSD.

Brain Structural Covariance Network Topology in Remitted Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a prevalent, chronic disorder with high psychiatric morbidity; however, a substantial portion of affected individuals experience remission after onset. Alterations in brain network topology derived from cortical thickness correlations are associated with PTSD, but the effects of remitted symptoms on network topology remain essentially unexplored. In this ...

BACKGROUND Converging lines of evidence have implicated the amygdala in the pathophysiology of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We previously developed a method for measuring automatic amygdala responses to general threat-related stimuli; in conjunction with functional magnetic resonance imaging, we used a passive viewing task involving masked presentations of human facial stimuli. METHO...

With the increasing emphasis on multi-disciplinary approaches to assessment and treatment, assessment tools also must facilitate communication, not only among clinicians, but between clinicians and regulatory bodies, such as utilization review committees with managed care environments, and with schools (Saigh, 1996).
