چکیده

Parasitism is an important limiting factor responsible to cause damage agricultural production. Plant parasitic root knot nematodes attack several economic crops in Pakistan. Plant- considerably add huge losses economies the top tomatoes crop producing countries throughout world, instead of controlling main pathogenic nematode species as usual; one innovative strategies control plant-parasitic would be manage diversity communities order lead them less pathogenic. The plants and their materials are potential remedies for management. Turmeric (Curcuma longa) along with its biological applications may serve a biopesticide against Meloidogyne incognita, species. A bioassay guided isolation various fractions turmeric was subjected nematicidal activity comparison Azadirachta indica incognita larvae at concentration 0.25, 0.5, 1% 48 hours. Alongside, Larvae eggs were inoculated around tomato seedlings experiments growth chamber. contains water turmeric. Root gall severity final population suppressed significantly. Isolation of nematicidal triterpenoid saponins from Pulsatilla koreana root and their activities against Meloidogyne incognita.

Pulsatilla koreana, a species endemic to Korea, is an important herb used in traditional medicine to treat amoebic dysentery and malaria. In the present study, 23 oleanane-type triterpenoid saponins 1-23 and eight lupane-type triterpenoid saponins 24-31 were isolated from the roots of P. koreana. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data. The methanol extract and isola...

Susceptibility Assessments of Tomato Genotypes to Root Knot Nematodes, Meloidogyne javanica

Root-knot nematodes, Meloidogyne spp., are one of the important plant parasitic nematodes of tomato in the world. The most suitable control method of plant parasitic nematodes is the use of resistance sources and tolerant cultivars. In the earlier studies, the results showed thatonly 2% (19 out of 537 varieties) were resistant and tolerant to the root knot nematodes. In the supplementary studie...

Nematicidal activity of essential oils and organic amendments from Asteraceae against root-knot nematodes

The essential oil of Chrysanthemum coronarium flowerheads showed strong nematicidal activity in vitro and in growthchamber experiments. Essential oil concentrations of 2, 4, 8 and 16 μL mL, significantly reduced hatch, J2 survival (determined by final value and area under curves of cumulative percentage hatch or mortality) and reproduction rate of Meloidogyne artiellia in vitro, with the lowest...

Screening and identification of cucumber germplasm and rootstock resistance against the root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita).

Root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp) are destructive agricultural pests that reduce the productivity of cultivated vegetables worldwide, especially when vegetables are cropped continuously in greenhouses. Cucumbers (Cucumis sativus L.), in particular, suffer extensive damage due to root-knot nematodes, and only a few wild species are known to be resistant. Grafting of cultivated plants to root...
