In the face of rapidly dwindling carbon budgets, negative emission technologies are widely suggested as required to stabilize Earth’s climate. However, finding cost-effective, socially acceptable, and politically achievable means enable such remains a challenge. We propose solutions based on facilitate wealth creation for stakeholders while helping mitigate climate change. This paper comes up with suggestions guidelines significantly increasing sequestration in coffee farms. A jackfruit agroforestry-based case study is presented along an array technical interventions, having special focus bioenergy biochar, potentially leading “negative emissions at cost.” The strategies integrating food production soil water management, fuel production, adoption renewable energy systems timber management outlined. emphasis combining biological engineering sciences devise practically viable niche that easy adopt, adapt scale communities regions achieve net emissions. concerns expressed recent literature implementation reduction briefly presented. novel opportunities alleviate these arising from our proposed interventions then pointed out.
