چکیده

In this study, the negative differential resistance (NDR) phenomenon in two-terminal devices composed of pyrogallol-formaldehyde/ZrO2 composite materials is investigated. It demonstrated that NDR caused by electrothermal effects, which can be observed through dependence on both voltage and temperature. Additionally, it showed peak current peak/valley voltages effectively modulated using electrical pulses produce mild Joule heating. This modulation arises from formation a conductive metastable state, decays to equilibrium according power law kinetics. suggested state generated reversible structural rearrangement induced heat. The ability electronically tune characteristics carbon composites may have potential applications controlled oscillators neuromorphic circuits.

Electrical permittivity and conductivity of carbon black-polyvinyl chloride composites

Electrical conductivity and permittivity of carbon black-polyvinyl chloride composites were studied over a wide frequency spectrum (dc, 1.3 GHz). Conductivity of the bulk composites increases with higher volume fraction of carbon black as expected. However, the functional dependence of the increasing conductivity with carbon black loading is different below and above the percolation threshold b...

Determinant role of tunneling resistance in electrical conductivity of polymer composites reinforced by well dispersed carbon nanotubes

Three-dimensional Monte Carlo simulation is used to investigate the electrical conductivity of nanocomposites composing of conducting nanofillers and insulating polymer matrix. When nanofillers concentrations low and they are well dispersed in the insulating matrix, electron tunneling resistance between the nanofiller junctions is found to play the dominant role in electron transport. In additi...
